human. nature. human-nature.
about me
I am a writer, naturalist, and adventure athlete whose work bridges scientific understanding with storytelling that deepens connection to ourselves, each other, and the living world.
My writing is shaped by thousands of miles of observation across wild places both within and outside myself—from thru-hiking long-distance trails to racing ultras through diverse ecosystems—where immersion cultivates both intimate knowledge and an embodied understanding of self and interdependence. These experiences have taught me that attention is a practice, and that the creatures we encounter—feathered, furred, finned, and otherwise—have something to teach us if we're willing to listen.
At the heart of my work is building nature connectedness. Not just as an abstract concept, but as a felt sense of relationship that changes how we move through the world, how we care for what's wild, and how we show up for each other.
I write to give voice to what I'm learning from life beyond us, in the hope it helps us remember what is wild and true within and between us.
